What I Learned About Common Core State Standards

Common Core is the new learning standards coming into action! Only emerging into effect in 2009, states have already begun the implementation of Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The new learning standards have come into place to make sure students are "college and career ready". One thing the standards hoped to achieve is that no student would require developmental courses once enrolled in a college or university. The growth of these standards lead right the creation of two consortia: PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) and SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium)...
